Biscotti Class

Students discovered just how easy it was to create their own delicious twice-baked Italian cookies. They completed different recipes from each another and shared the results after class taste-tasting. Participants left with recipes and a huge collection of biscotti just waiting to complement coffee, tea, or milk. Our selections for the day included savory biscotti (ranging from pesto biscotti to walnut and cheddar cheese biscotti) to a large array of sweet biscotti (featuring lots of chocolate, nuts, dried fruits and liquers).

Participants made both sweet and savory biscotti -- including the pesto biscotti in front made with basil from the garden.

The cheddar cheese and walnut biscotti were a different twist on the traditional sweet varieties. However, the chocolate, orange, and hazelnut biscotti more than satisfied the sweets lover, using the finest of bittersweet chocolate, cocoa, and chocolate nibs.
